Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation collaborated with British singer Sam Smith for the 10th anniversary of their debut, her agency SM Entertainment said Friday.
Taeyeon sang on the remix of Smith’s 2014 hit song “I’m Not the Only One,” which was included on the British singer’s 10th anniversary re-issue of the album “In the Lonely Hour” (2014). The re-issue was released on Friday.
The British singer requested Taeyeon’s inclusion on to the re-issue, asking for Korean lyrics, according to SM Entertainment.
“I am honored to be part of Smith’s 10th anniversary project,” said Taeyeon. “It was a special experience, singing ‘I’m Not the Only One’ in Korean, which I listen to regularly.”
Taeyeon debuted in 2007 as a member of Girls' Generation under SM Entertainment, known for many hit tracks such as "Into the New World" (2007), "Gee" (2009), "Genie" (2009) and many more. She dropped her first solo EP "I" in 2015, and released the single "Heaven" in July this year.
