Naver Pay debuts beta for digital asset wallet with exclusive NFT features

Naver Pay has launched the beta version of its new digital asset wallet, “Naver Pay Wallet,” offering users a unique opportunity to engage with blockchain technology via exclusive sports and entertainment content. The company announced on Friday that during the beta phase, users will have access to special events and partnerships available only on Naver Pay Wallet, where they can store unique NFT (non-fungible token) art.

The wallet allows users to explore blockchain firsthand through a variety of events and community-driven content centered around these digital artworks. The first major event, in collaboration with global sports and entertainment blockchain firm Chiliz, includes a chance to win a European soccer tour experience. Users who create a Naver Pay Wallet and enter the event by September 29th, 2024, will be eligible for a draw to win one of 24 European football travel packages, which include VIP tickets to a Premier League match for two.

Naver Pay plans to select a total of 50 winners by the end of 2024 for these soccer travel packages as part of its ongoing promotions.

Security is a key feature of Naver Pay Wallet. Naver Pay highlighted that users will have full control over their private keys and tokens, ensuring a high level of security without the need for third-party intervention. The wallet is easily accessible by linking it to a Naver ID and setting up a dedicated password.
