epa11572150 Ahmed Al-Halimi (C), Morocco's High Commissioner for Planning, attends the announcement of the commencement of the data collection process from households as part of the General Population and Housing Census in Morocco for the year 2024, in Rabat, Morocco, 29 December 2024. The data collection will take place from 01 - 03 December 2024. The commission has completed two cartographic operations: the first covered households, buildings, and residences, while the second focused on economic establishments. A Geographic Information System equipped with satellite imagery was used to ensure the accuracy of the comprehensive survey of the population and facilities. The national territory was divided into approximately 38,000 enumeration areas to ensure the inclusiveness of the operation. EPA/JALAL MORCHIDI
