According to sources from the home appliance industry on Wednesday, LG Electronics is expanding its training programs for outstanding employees from its overseas branches.
The program, which started in 2023 with 23 participants from 15 countries, has grown to include 35 participants from 20 countries a year later. These top talents from LG‘s overseas branches are trained together at the company’s Korean business headquarters, including the Korean sales division.
The first training session held in July 2024 included participants from countries including Canada, Mexico, Thailand, and India. Employees from Kenya, Germany, and Indonesia are slated to visit LG’s Korean business sites in September.
LG Electronics offers a comprehensive program that includes on-site sales and showroom experiences, introductions to sales strategies, action plan presentations and discussions, and opportunities to experience Korean culture.
“Participants are scheduled to tour sales sites and showrooms at our LG Best Shop stores and LG Sciencepark. They will also receive training on customized customer service methods for different situations and the application of DX solutions,” an LG Electronics official said. They also learn online sales strategies at the live commerce studio.
The program also offers the opportunity to disassemble LG appliances, allowing participants to experience the company‘s “Core Tech” firsthand.
Core Tech refers to LG Electronics’ unique expertise in essential component technologies.
“The opportunity to disassemble and compare various products allows participants to directly experience our technological competitiveness,” the official emphasized.
LG‘s overseas branches individually organized tours of its Korean business sites in the past, but as requests for these tours continued from overseas, the company’s Korean sales division decided to invite international talents directly.
