Maeil Dairies expands specialized formula supply to China via Alibaba Health

South Korea’s Maeil Dairies announced on Thursday that it will expand the supply of its specialized infant formula to China through Alibaba Health, a subsidiary of the Alibaba Group focused on healthcare.

Maeil Dairies is the only company in South Korea that produces specialized formulas for infants with congenital metabolic disorders. The company currently manufactures 12 products across eight categories, all of which will be available in China through Alibaba Health.

This expansion follows the charity partnership agreement signed between Maeil Dairies and Alibaba Health in May 2024. Maeil Dairies previously supplied its specialized formula, Absolute MPA Stage 1·2, to the Chinese market.

Maeil Dairies will also host an exchange meeting from September 4th to 5th, inviting members of the Congenital Metabolic Disorders Association, families of affected children, healthcare professionals from South Korea and China, and representatives from Alibaba Health. The event will provide an opportunity to share research, discuss current conditions, and exchange information on support systems for congenital metabolic disorders in both countries.
