Taeil of boy band NCT will quit the band after being reported to the police for a sex crime, his agency SM Entertainment said on Wednesday.
"We recently found out that Taeil had been mired in a sex crime case," the agency said in a press release.
"We have decided, taking the gravity of the case, that he cannot continue his team activities. He has decided to leave the [NCT] team after talks with the company."
Taeil is currently undergoing police investigation, the agency said without revealing further details.
His contract with SM Entertainment has not been terminated yet.
