Homeniq is a platform that integrates various services related to residential living, including digital smart home features, cultural activities, and health management, into a single application (app). It was first applied to the Raemian One Bailey apartment complex in Seocho District, southern Seoul, in August 2023, and has since been expanded to other residential complexes. It is currently used in over 33,000 households.
The new Homeniq 2.0 includes an “Apartment Care” service, which provides after-sales services (AS) such as repairs for new developments, as well as maintenance or replacement services for older residential complexes.
Samsung C&T plans to offer the newest edition of the service to select apartment complexes in Seocho District first starting in October 2024, with plans to gradually expand to other areas.
Homeniq 2.0 also provides a group purchasing service that allows residents and nearby businesses to propose group purchases, offering custom services that provide materials and parts needed for unit maintenance in line with the apartment lifecycle.
It also offers a membership service called “Homeniqers Club,” allowing users to enjoy various benefits such as special offers and package deals from over 30 verified partners, including Samsung Electronics Co. and Mirae Asset Financial Group.
The platform’s smart home features include “Matter” technology, which recognizes users’ lifestyle patterns. It also gives users automatic control of home appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices throughout the house, regardless of brand, via an app. Other features include energy usage analysis and alerts for tiered billing, as well as communication functions for resident representative meetings.
Samsung C&T has been expanding the Homeniq service beyond its Raemian complexes. It signed a service contract with Acro River Park Apartments in Banpo-dong, Seocho District in July 2024 and formed a partnership with HS Hwasung Co., a construction company in Daegu, North Gyeongsang Province, the following month.
The company has also collaborated with APTi, the largest apartment-specific app in Korea, to bring Homeniq services and benefits to various apartment complexes nationwide. APTi is used by over 12 million households in 30,000 complexes across the country and provides residents with services such as management fee inquiries and payment alongside parcel reservations.
“We will be able to provide Homeniq 2.0, which prioritizes residents’ living convenience and is now available at various apartment complexes nationwide,” Kim Myung-seok, vice president and head of Housing Business Division at Samsung C&T, said. “We will strive to maximize resident satisfaction with optimized services that reflect each complex’s characteristics and lifestyle.”
