Products from South Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small businesses will head overseas via the country’s nationwide sale festival.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on Sunday that it will hold the “Donghaeng Festival” both online and offline in Korea and abroad for a month from Wednesday to September 28th, 2024. The event takes place three times a year in May, September, and December to promote consumption of SME and small business products. “Donghaeng,” which means “go together” in Korean, highlights the government‘s goal of helping everyone to get through the current challenges.

The opening ceremony of the September 2024 edition will be held overseas for the first time. It will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam on Thursday, and will feature an export consultation session as well as a pop-up store showcasing products from outstanding Korean SMEs and small businesses.

The products presented through the export consultation and pop-up store will be available for purchase on Korea’s Gmarket Global and Southeast Asia’s largest e-commerce platform Shopee. A dedicated store will also be opened in Hanoi to display and sell cosmetics, health products, and other goods on offer from 50 Korean small businesses.
