AI is a key opportunity for future growth: SK Group Chairman

The chairman of South Koreanconglomerate SK Group showed his confidence in artificial intelligence‘s growth potential despite the recent worries.

“It will ultimately give us a host of opportunities,” SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won stated, adding that “the key to thriving in the AI ecosystem is change.” He made the comments during the closing session of the Icheon Forum 2024, one of the company’s annual events.

Chey added that further AI growth could enable SK Group to explore business opportunities on hardware systems for AI data centers and service models such as Large Language Models (LLM). He has traveled abroad in recent months to meet with chief executives from the world’s tech giants, including Nvidia Corp., Microsoft Corp., and Amazon Inc. to seek potential collaborations.
