OB introduces first aluminum bottle beer in Korea

South Korea’s Oriental Brewery Co. (OB) announced on Friday that it has launched its first aluminum bottle beer, catering to the trendy preferences of young people.

The Cass Alu Bottle (473ml) is packaged in an aluminum bottle. OB is the first Korean beer brand to release a product in such a style.

“We introduced this uniquely designed product to appeal to Gen Z’s hip aesthetic,” said an OB spokesperson.

The company explained that the aluminum bottle allows for rapid cooling, making it convenient to chill the beer quickly.

The bottle also features a screw cap for easy use.

OB plans to showcase the new product at festivals and street food venues, starting with the 2024 Cass Cool Festival on Saturday at Seoul Land in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province.

The product will also be available in large supermarkets for home consumption starting this fall.
