Upcoming Mnet audition show “Road to Kingdom” will be broadcast in September, the cable channel said Thursday in a press release.
“Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace” is the second season of Mnet's audition show “Road to Kingdom” (2020).
Unlike the inaugural series that acted as a prequel to “Kingdom: Legendary War" (2021), this year's "Road to Kingdom" will take on an identity of its own as a “rising boy band project,” Mnet said Thursday in a press release, hinting that it may act as a stand-alone show.
A total of seven boy bands will compete in the show; TNX, The CrewOne, 8TURN, Oneus, Younite, Cravity and Tempest. Every boy band competing in the show debuted after 2019, except for Oneus that debuted in January that year.
“Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace” will be hosted by Taemin of veteran boy band SHINee.
