The 2015 song “Tiramisu Cake” by indie band We Are The Night was the most used Korean song on TikTok during the summer according to a list released by the short-form video platform.

Tiktok compiled lists of the 10 songs that 12 countries used the most this summer. The countries included the United States, Britain, Egypt, Japan and more. The "Korea Top 10 Songs of the Summer" list was released on Wednesday.

“Tiramisu Cake” has been used over 1 million times, mostly in dance challenges and as background music for other short-form memes. The title of the song also sounds similar to the Korean phrasing “I’m immature cause I’m a T [thinker],” which references the MBTI personality quiz popular among the younger generation.

Songs released over a decade ago were also on the list. “Attraction” (2013) by R&B singer Bumkey featuring hip-hop act Dynamic Duo placed No. 2 on the list. The 2004 song “Y (Please Tell Me Why)” by hip-hop duo Freestyle placed No. 7 on the list, while the 2016 remake of “I Guess I Loved You” (2005) by veteran rock band YB placed No. 8.

The 2011 song “Twinkle Twinkle" by K-pop girl group Girl’s Day followed “I Guess I Loved You” at No. 9. Other K-pop songs landed on the list as well, such as “Magnetic” by girl group Illit placed on No. 6. Sped up versions of “Heya” by girl group IVE and “If I'm S, Can You Be My N?” by boy band TWS landed on No. 4 and No. 10, respectively.

"Magnetic" also placed No. 5 on the "Japan Top 10 Songs of the Summer" list. "Magnetic" is the highest ranking foreign song on the Japanese list, and the only K-pop song to land on two lists.

“Once again, TikTok’s Songs of the Summer list beautifully demonstrates how the magic of TikTok helps our global community to discover and promotes a diverse range of incredibly talented artists and their music," said Ole Obermann, TikTok's Global Head of Music Business Development.
