ldong Foodis has launched a new health supplement, “Himune Phytosome Curcumin,” which boasts a 29-fold improvement in bioavailability that was achieved with patented technology. The company announced on Monday that the new product significantly enhances the absorption of curcumin, the active ingredient known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that is derived from turmeric.

Curcumin is known to offer health benefits, but its low absorption rate, typically around 1 percent, has been a key challenge. To address this, ldong Foodis has used phytosome technology developed by Italian pharmaceutical company Indena, which maximizes curcumin’s absorption and bioactivity.

The main ingredient in the new product is Meriva curcumin, a patented form of curcumin that offers 29 times better bioavailability than conventional curcumin.
