Eastar Jet, Boeing collaborate to make flights safer

Eastar Jet Co. signed an agreement with The Boeing Co. to collaborate on flight safety services, the airline announced on Tuesday.

Under the agreement, Eastar Jet will work with Boeing’s Flight Operations Representative (FOR) team, which specializes in flight operations and safety, with the South Korean airline the first to partner with Boeing in this area.

Boeing FOR will provide technical support, including flight operations and pilot training programs, as well as share operational data and best safety practices. The company’s flight operations experts will visit Eastar Jet weekly to offer technical advice and work closely with pilots by liaising with them directly.

Eastar Jet anticipates that this partnership will significantly improve their operational safety by leveraging the latest technological advancements. For its part, Boeing highlights its commitment to building strong airline partnerships and providing insights to ensure safe operations by leveraging its extensive global network of over 140 skilled experts.
