Singer Jo Kwon will hold fan concert titled “We Welcome You! With the Best Kwondition!” on Sept. 21 and 22 at Baekam Art Hall, Gangnam District, southern Seoul, his agency Archive Achim said Monday.
The fan concert is Jo’s first time meeting fans in close proximity since the singer’s 2018 fan meet and greet in celebration of the 10th anniversary of his debut. A fan concert refers to an event that is larger than a fan meet and greet but smaller than a full-fledged concert.
Jo will perform his songs with a live band and intimately communicate with his fans, according to Archive Achim.
Tickets for the fan concert will open on ticket retailer website Ticketlink on Thursday at 8 p.m.
Jo debuted in 2008 under JYP Entertainment as part of 2AM, one of the few ballad boy bands and released hit songs such as “This Song” (2008), “Never Let You Go” (2010) and “I Was Wrong” (2010). The band has four members — Jinwoon, Jo Kwon, Seulong and Changmin.
He has since branched out into acting in musicals, making his debut in musical theater as King Herod in a 2013 Korean performance of musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” (1970). He most recently played the role of Scott in this year’s performance of musical “Evil Dead” (2003).
