Girl group Blackpink’s Lisa will join private chat service bubble in September, the service's operator DearU said Monday.
DearU is the software subsidiary for K-pop agency SM Entertainment. The subsidiary was established in 2017, which in turn established bubble in 2020. Users pay a monthly subscription fee on bubble to receive messages or photos from their favorite stars.
Lisa released her new song “New Woman” featuring Grammy-winning Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía on Friday. "New Woman" was released just two months after Lisa released her last solo track, "Rockstar." “Rockstar” debuted at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200.
Lisa opened a pop-up store for “Rockstar” on July 13 and 14 on the on the second floor of The Hyundai department store in western Seoul.
"As another member of Blackpink, Jisoo, is active on bubble and the group is expected to make a comeback next year, Lisa's addition will further enhance the service's competitiveness," the CEO of DearU Ahn Jong-oh said Monday.
