CHA Healthcare integrates Singapore Medical Group as subsidiary

CHA Healthcare Co., a subsidiary of South Korean bio company Chabiotech Co, has integrated Singapore Medical Group (SMG) as its subsidiary, the company said on Monday.

CHA Healthcare began its strategic investment in SMG in 2017 and became the largest shareholder in 2019 by securing a 24 percent stake.

Last year, CHA Healthcare increased its stake in SMG to 42.4 percent and 64.2 percent this year.

SMG operates 46 specialized clinics in areas such as women‘s health, obstetrics and gynecology, cancer care and radiology in three Southeast Asian countries.

CHA Healthcare currently operates global healthcare platforms and services in six countries, including the U.S., Australia and Japan.

“With this integration, we will continue to pursue growth and enhance competitiveness through an expanded global medical network,” said CHA Healthcare Chief Executive Officer Yoon Kyung-wook.
