Naver Cloud joins AI support project led by science ministry

Naver Cloud announced on Friday that it will participate in the “2024 Super AI-based Service Development Support Project” organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and led by the National Information Society Agency (NIA). The project aims to accelerate the use of AI in the public sector and the realization of a digital platform government.

Naver Cloud will contribute to three key tasks in the public sector, including a super AI-based integrated research and development support service for the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences, a smart fire safety service in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, and a youth-specialized agricultural service in partnership with the Rural Development Administration.

Naver Cloud plans to support the integration of high-quality data from the National Research Council with its super AI platform, “HyperCLOVA X,” while enhancing the efficiency and expertise of firefighters through AI technology. Naver Cloud will also work with the Rural Development Administration to connect agricultural data with HyperCLOVA X to develop a system that supports young farmers in rural areas.

Naver Cloud has also been selected as a provider for the “2024 Super AI Platform Utilization Support Project” by the NIA, which aims to support AI initiatives across public institutions and private companies.

Furthermore, Naver Cloud will participate in the “2024 Super AI-based Academic Activity Support Project” led by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). In this project, Naver Cloud will collaborate with AI software company VITASOFT, AI data construction specialist METRIX, Hallym University’s Hallym Academy of Sciences, and Inha University’s Center for Korean Studies.

Naver Cloud will be responsible for providing AI HyperCLOVA X, cloud infrastructure, and technical support.
