Tesla Korea sent an email to its customers emphasizing the safety of its batteries without disclosing the product details as advised by the Korean government.
"Tesla immediately alerts customers when abnormal conditions are detected," said the email, titled "Tesla prioritizes safety in designing cars."
"The measure prevents or minimizes potential damage," it read.
The U.S. EV maker did not, however, disclose any details about the installed batteries. Earlier in the week, Seoul advised all auto manufacturers to release their battery information to relieve public fears over potential EV blazes after a Mercedes EV explosion on Aug. 1.
Major foreign auto brands have already revealed the details through their websites including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo, Volkswagen and Stellantis, along with local companies Hyundai Motor and Kia.
Tesla also said "all Tesla cars are offered with safety features like automatic emergency braking and a lane departure warning system," in the email, adding that "the system is constantly improved through regular software updates."
The particular notice came as a Tesla driven by a woman in her 60s crashed through a cafe in Yongin, Gyeonggi, injuring 11 people, on Aug. 14.
