Dr. Kim Woo-kyu, managing director of Merck Korea, left, and Yun Yong-kuk, Merck Korea's country lead of display solutions, pose next to the German science and technology company's organic light-emitting diode (OLED) test cell at Korea Display Exhibition, or K-Display 2024, at Coex in southern Seoul on Wednesday. Merck participated in the show with a new company slogan, “Merck Materialize Light,” and set up five exhibition zones dedicated to the company's technology. They showcased low-k material that allows for inkjet printing, flexible OLED displays, premium panels for liquid crystals and photoresists, sustainable materials and digital optics for optical materials used in augmented reality and virtual reality displays.
