Musical “ARI” shines at Edinburgh Fringe

ARI, a modern musical reinterpretation of South Korea’s 600-year-old lyrical folk song Arirang, has seen a surge of visitors to the United Kingdom’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Arirang, a popular Korean folk song, is a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Gangwon Province’s first intangible heritage.

ARI has been drawing thousands of audiences with its daily performances at the festival, beginning with a gala event at the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh on July 31st, 2024.
