SK hynix launches Tech Day 2024 at top Korean universities

SK Hynix Inc. will begin the annual recruitment program in which its key executives will tour five of Korea’s leading engineering universities to secure top semiconductor talent.

The chipmaker announced on Monday that it will hold Tech Day 2024, starting with Seoul National University next week, followed by Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Yonsei University and Korea University. The tour will continue through September 10th, 2024.

Tech Day is SK hynix’s annual recruiting event for graduate students in semiconductor-related fields. Senior executives visit universities to share the company’s vision and technology leadership with future talent and discuss the latest technology trends.

The speakers for 2024 include President Kim Ju-seon, who oversees the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure business, Vice President Kim Jong-hwan of DRAM development, and Vice President Cha Seon-yong of the Future Technology Research Institute.

SK hynix will organize five sessions tailored to each university‘s strengths, covering design, devices, processes, systems, and advanced packaging. There will also be one-on-one mentoring sessions with alumni who are currently SK hynix employees.
