Girl group Blackpink held a “pink carpet” event Friday to showcase its concert film “Blackpink World Tour ‘Born Pink’ In Cinemas” at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo District, western Seoul.
It is the first time in 11 months that all four members — Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa — have appeared together in public since the finale concert of the “Born Pink” world tour last September.
The event took place just a day after the group’s eighth anniversary.
Times Square, on Friday, was decorated with a bright pink carpet rather than its usual red carpet used for film events, aligning with the key colors of the girl group.
The Blackpink members appeared emotional and delighted by the number of fans who gathered at the venue to catch a glimpse of the artists. They took time to interact with Blinks (Blackpink's fandom name,) signing autographs and taking selfies.
The event concluded with a pink cake to celebrate the group's eighth anniversary and a group photo session.
The concert film “Blackpink World Tour ‘Born Pink’ In Cinemas” — set for release on Wednesday exclusively at CGV theaters — features footage from the finale of the "Born Pink" world tour, held on Sept. 16 and 17 last year at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, western Seoul. The film will be released in 110 countries, including Korea, the United States and Britain.
Here are some pictures of Blackpink members during the event.
