Boy band NCT Dream will release the English single “Rains in Heaven” on Aug. 23, its agency SM Entertainment said Friday.
The new single is an 80s-style pop track with rhythmic drums and synths, according to the agency. The lyrics about comforting those who are tired and hurt are partially written by group member Mark.
NCT Dream will perform the song during the U.S. leg of its world tour “The Dream Show 3: Dream( )scape,” which kicks off in Bogota, Columbia on Aug. 31.
The world tour kicked off at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, western Seoul, on May 2. NCT Dream has since performed in Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore. The boy band is set to perform in the Philippines over the weekend.
NCT Dream is a seven-member subgroup of boy band NCT that debuted in 2016 with its digital single “Chewing Gum.” The group dropped its fifth EP, “Dream( )scape,” on March 25, which sold more than 2.46 million copies in the first week of its release.
