Jisoo's Heartfelt Message: Celebrating 8 Years of BLACKPINK with BLINKs

(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) BLACKPINK's Jisoo, who recently celebrated her 8th debut anniversary, expressed her gratitude to fans.

On August 8th, Jisoo shared a heartfelt letter to BLINKs (the fan base) through social media, reflecting on their journey together. She said, "I am once again grateful and happy to have spent 8 years of BLINKs' lives together. As we've grown together, it feels like we've become a strong support system for each other, especially during tough times."

Jisoo continued, "Today, a BLINK told me that just as BLACKPINK gave them strength and comfort during hard times, now it's their turn to be our support. Just hearing that makes me feel like I can overcome any future challenges."

In closing, she added, "Let's continue to be strong for each other. Thank you, and I love you. I also want to thank and express my love to my fellow BLACKPINK members. Congratulations on our 8th anniversary, and let's keep supporting each other in the future."

BLACKPINK, who debuted in 2016 with the digital single "SQUARE ONE," renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment last year, surpassing the "seven-year curse" many groups face.

Although the members have since pursued individual activities, either by establishing their own labels or moving to other agencies, they recently announced plans for a group comeback. After nearly 11 months since their final world tour performance last September, BLACKPINK will reunite on August 9th at the Pink Carpet event for the movie "BORN PINK IN CINEMAS" at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.

On August 8th, ahead of the event, the members also held a live broadcast on the fan communication platform Weverse, where they shared their thoughts on reaching their 8th anniversary as a group.
