Gucci has named Jin of boy band BTS as its newest global ambassador.
"Jin has expressed his sincere admiration for the artistry of our creative director, Sabato De Sarno, who has reciprocated with equal admiration for Jin’s artistry, warm personality and unique style," Gucci said in a press release on Thursday.
Gucci also praised BTS’s achievements in the global music scene, including the band's historic topping of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart as the first Korean act to do so.
"We look forward to this collaboration mesmerizing and inspiring fans around the world," the Italian luxury house said.
Jin began his solo career with the single "The Astronaut" in October 2022, shortly before starting his military service. He was discharged in June this year and is set to release his second solo album later this year.
