Amy Yang tied for 13th on the first day of the women’s golf tournament at the Paris Olympics Wednesday, managing the highest finish among three Korean golfers.

Yang carded a par-72 at Le Golf National in in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France, while Ko Jin-young tied for 26th with a one-over-par, 73, and Kim Hyo-joo tied for 40th with a four-over, 76.

Celine Boutier of France topped the standings with seven-under, 65.

Olympic golf is played in a stroke play format, during which golfers complete on an 18-hole course over four days.

A medal by Korean golfer this year will mark the country’s second medal in the sport after Park In-bee won the first tournament since 1920 at the 2016 Olympics.

Park still remains the only Korean golfer to have won an Olympic medal, with no male Korean golfer having stood on the podium.

The men’s tournament, meanwhile, wrapped up Sunday, with Tom Kim finishing in eighth place for the best result by Korean.

The women’s tournament will continue through Saturday.
