Hyundai Group chief offers emotional support to employees

Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun is expanding her support and encouragement to employees, a move aimed at boosting corporate morale.

Hyundai Group announced on Monday that Hyun attended the training completion ceremony for this year’s new employees in July and delivered a message of encouragement and support to the new employees.

Hyun personally handed out employee ID cards to about 50 new employees who had completed the three-week training, expressing her gratitude for being a part of the Hyundai Group.

Hyun noted that the power of positivity is a core value of the Hyundai spirit and called for fresh contributions from the new employees.

Hyun, in the meantime, continued the tradition of sending summer health food gifts to existing employees, which she started in 2005, shortly after her inauguration.

A total of 6,607 employees, including 5,317 employees at home and 1,290 abroad, received summer food gifts.

Hyun’s leadership and management approach reflects her belief that a soft and comfortable atmosphere can foster creative thinking.

Accordingly, Hyundai Group plans to incorporate her philosophy into its work culture and environment.

“Following Chairman Hyun’s directives, we plan to establish various ways to maintain close ties with employees and create a work environment that maximizes employee participation and creativity,” the group said.
