Singer and actor Park Ji-hoon signed an exclusive contract with YY Entertainment, the agency said Monday.
“It is a new start in a new environment,” said Park. "I am looking forward to a lot in this new chapter. I hope fans will look forward to my new activities as well."
Park started his singing career as a member of boy band Wanna One in 2017. He started his solo activities with the EP “O’Clock" in March 2019, two months after Wanna One disbanded.
Park has since released six more EPs: "360" (2019), "The W" (2020), "My Collection" (2021), "Hot & Cold" (2021) "The Answer" (2022) and "Blank or Black" (2023). The singer released his first solo full-length album "Message" in November 2020.
Before his newfound fame as a singer, Park debuted as a child actor in the 2006 MBC drama “Jumong” (2006-7).
He went on to star in the JTBC drama “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency” (2019), Kakao TV web drama “Love Revolution” (2020), KBS 2TV drama “At A Distance Spring is Green” (2021) Wavve original series “Weak Hero Class 1” (2022) and more.
“We are looking forward to our synergy with Park, who has successfully paved his way as both a singer and actor,” said YY Entertainment. “We will enthusiastically support Park in his various endeavors.”
