Korea’s Tom Kim finished in eighth place in the men’s golf tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday at 13-under, 271, trailing six strokes behind gold medalist Scottie Scheffler of the United States.

Tommy Fleetwood of Great Britain took silver, with Hideki Matsuyama taking bronze.

Scheffler climbed five spots up the table on Sunday with a huge nine-under to take first place, with France’s Victor Perez falling just short with an eight-under day to take fourth place.

Kim had been in the running since the first day of the tournament, finishing the first day in third place and then slipping down to fifth on the second day and sixth on moving day.

An Byeong-hun finished tied for 24th at six-under after a disappointing 72 round Sunday on the 71-par course.

Golf at the Paris Olympics is played in a regular stroke play format over four rounds, but without a cut after the second round. The men’s tournament will end on Sunday, with the women’s tournament — where Korea is represented by Ko Jin-young, Kim Hyo-joo and Yang Hee-young — tees off on Aug. 7.
