(240804) -- KANGDING, Aug. 4, 2024 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers search for missing people in Ridi Village, Kangding City, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province, Aug. 4, 2024. Four people had been killed and 23 others remained missing as of 11 p.m. Saturday after a flash flood and mudslide struck the city of Kangding in southwest China's Sichuan Province, local authorities said on Sunday.

The disaster took place at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday in Kangding, toppling a tunnel bridge and destroying homes in Ridi village. (Xinhua/Liu Kun)
