(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) will be taking the stage at 'Lollapalooza Chicago' on August 3rd (local time) in Chicago, USA.
IVE is scheduled to perform on stage at 5 PM on August 3rd (local time) in Chicago, which will be 7 AM on Sunday, August 4th in Korea. Thanks to the organizers, the live performance can also be watched in Korea. In the U.S., it can be viewed on the platform 'Hulu,' while fans around the world can watch the live stream on IVE's official YouTube channel.
Lollapalooza is a large-scale music festival that began in Chicago in 1991 and is held in various locations worldwide, including the U.S., France, Chile, and Brazil. Covering popular music genres like pop and rock, the festival features an average of 170 artists each year and attracts about 400,000 attendees over four days. This year, IVE and Stray Kids are the K-pop artists scheduled to perform.
As IVE makes their debut appearance at an overseas major festival, they will present a richer sound experience with a band setup, unlike their usual performances on Korean music shows. IVE's refreshing performances will offer a respite from the summer heat and enhance the festive atmosphere for both fans and attendees.
Despite not having a formal promotion or official debut in the U.S., IVE successfully completed a six-city tour in North America, starting with a concert at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles in March, followed by performances at the Oakland Arena, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Allstate Arena in Rosemont, and Prudential Center in Newark. Notably, their concerts in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Newark were sold out, proving their popularity.
In May, IVE was the only K-pop artist to be named in Forbes' "30 Under 30 Asia," solidifying their status as a leading fourth-generation girl group.
Currently, IVE is on their first world tour, "IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE'," performing in 37 shows across 27 cities in 19 countries. They will hold encore performances at the KSPO Dome (formerly Gymnastics Arena) in Korea on August 10th and 11th.
