Yogiyo, a food ordering platform operated by RGP Korea Co., will lower its commission fee to 9.7 percent from 12.5 percent amid intensifying industry competition.

Yogiyo announced on Thursday that it will launch a new pricing plan, which reduces the commission fee by 2.8 percentage points. The 9.7 percent commission fee is lower than the 9.8 percent charged by Woowa Brothers Corp.’s Baedal Minjok (Baemin) and Coupang Inc.’s Coupang Eats.

Yogiyo’s new plan offers even lower fees depending on the store‘s sales performance, with the lowest commission rate standing at 4.7 percent.

During a trial period from May to July, Yogiyo offered the reduced fee to select stores and saw orders increase by over 20 percent at 32 percent of participating locations.
