Korea was liberated from 35 years of Japanese colonial rule on Aug. 15, 1945. The date was enacted as a national commemorative day -- Gwangbokjeol in Korean -- in 1949.
The Gwangbok Bread will be sold in Sungsimdang stores until Aug. 15. One box consists of four madeleine cakes.
