Streaming platforms' original series are dominating the miniseries drama category at this year's Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA).

The SDA 2024 announced Tuesday the nominees for its International Competition category. There are seven subcategories of the International Competition Category — TV Movie, Miniseries, Series, Best Director, Best Screenwriter, Best Actor and Best Actress.

The SDA, first launched in 2006, celebrates TV dramas and its creators from all around the world and is organized by the Korean Broadcasters Association. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, KBS, MBC, SBS, EBS and CBS.

This year's 19th edition of the ceremony will be held on Sept. 25 at the Yeouido KBS Hall. It will air on SBS and livestream on YouTube.

Streaming platforms took six slots out of the 11 nominees for the miniseries category. Disney+ took up two slots with “Moving” (2023) and “The Worst of Evil” (2023), and Netflix had four nominees: “Daily Dose of Sunshine,” (2023) “3 Body Problem," “Boy Swallows Universe” and “Cigarette Girl” (2023).

Among the nominees for miniseries, three Korean dramas — "Moving," "The Worst of Evil" and "Daily Dose of Sunshine" — made the list.
