Korea's Kim Min-seop misses men’s 200-meter butterfly final

Korea’s Kim Min-seop failed to advance to the final of the men’s 200-meter butterfly at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday, finishing in seventh place in the second semifinal at Paris La Defense Arena in Paris.
Kim, the current Korean record holder, finished with a time of 1:55.22 for seventh place in the second semifinal and 13th of the 16 total swimmers. The qualifying time for the final was 1:54.62.
The second semifinal was won by Kristof Milak of Hungary with a time of 1:52.72 with Noe Ponti of Switzerland taking second and Krzysztof Chmielewski of Poland, whose twin brother Michal took fifth.
Kim race was the first of a busy night for Korea in the pool, with Cho Sung-jae set to compete in the men’s 200-meter breaststroke semifinals followed by the men’s 4x200 freestyle relay final.
