Girl group Twice wrapped up its fifth world tour “Ready to Be” with a performance at Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, Japan on Saturday and Sunday.
Twice’s performance over the weekend was the first time a foreign female artist performed at Nissan Stadium.
Twice performed its Japanese songs “Here I am,” “Love Warning,” “Perfect World” (2021), “Breakthrough” (2019) and more. The girl group also played its English songs “One Spark” and “Moonlight Sunrise” (2023).
Approximately 140,000 audiences total across both dates gathered to catch the performances, the girl group’s agency JYP Entertainment said Tuesday.
Twice’s performances in Japan at the tail end of the “Ready to Be” tour were special additions announced in December last year. The Nissan Stadium shows came after the girl group’s concerts in Osaka on July 13 and 14 and Tokyo on July 20 and 21.
“Thank you for coming to our concert and filling up the venue,” the members said near the end of the Sunday performance. “We will continue to work hard and look forward to the day we can meet you again.”
Twice will perform during the halftime show in the upcoming “2024 Coupang Play Series” match between Team K League and Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo District, western Seoul on Wednesday.
