aespa member Karina will sit out the girl group’s performance in Fukuoka, Japan on Tuesday and Wednesday because of health issues.
“We deeply apologize for having to deliver this news once again to the fans who have been supporting aespa and Karina, eagerly awaiting their performances,” the girl group said in a post on Weverse. “We will do our utmost to ensure the artist's speedy recovery and well-being.”
Karina’s health issues have been keeping her from performing since Sunday when she had to sit out the girl group’s performance in Osaka.
The performance in Fukuoka is part of the girl group’s world tour “Synk: Parallel Line” and is set to be held in Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall B. The remaining three members — Giselle, Ningning and Winter — will perform on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Karina will not be participating in the fan meet and greet held after the performance either, according to the post.
aespa kicked off its world tour “Synk: Parallel Line” in Seoul on June 29. The girl group is set to perform in a total of 14 regions across Asia and Australia, including Hong Kong; Taipei, Taiwan; Tokyo; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Sydney, Australia in August. In September, the group will perform in Melbourne, Australia; Macau; and Bangkok.
