Singer Jeon Somi is set to release a new song on Friday, her agency The Black Label said Monday.
The upcoming song is Jeon’s first new music since releasing her first EP, “Game Plan,” last August.
The new song is expected to show her charm as a “summer queen,” according to The Black Label. The music video will be released on the same day as the song.
Jeon recently came under the spotlight as a mentor for K-pop trainees in the second season of Mnet's audition program “I-LAND.” She was the host of the final episode of the show as well.
Jeon debuted as part of the girl group I.O.I in 2016, which consisted of the winners of the Mnet audition program “Produce 101.” The singer began her solo career in 2019 with the single “Birthday.”
Jeon launched her cosmetics brand Glyf in April.
