Boy band Stray Kids topped the Billboard 200 albums chart with its newest EP "ATE."
With “ATE” reaching No. 1, Stray Kids has managed to chart five albums on the Billboard 200, including “Oddinary” (2022), "Maxident" (2022), "5-Star" (2023) and "Rock-Star" (2023). "ATE" is Stray Kids' ninth EP.
"ATE," which dropped on July 19, sold 232,000 album equivalent units in the first week of release in the United States. This marks the highest weeklong tally for any K-pop album this year and the sixth-best debut week among all the albums released in 2024.
Physical album sales reached 218,000 copies, making it the highest-selling K-pop album of the year and the second highest-selling album worldwide in 2024, following Taylor Swift's "The Tortured Poets Department."
BTS member Jimin’s new album, “Muse,” followed “ATE” on the Billboard 200, at No. 2. This is Jimin’s second entry into the chart, following his last solo album, “Face” (2023).
Stray Kids will headline Lollapalooza Chicago on Aug. 2 and kick off its world tour, "dominATE," on Aug. 24 at the KSPO Dome in Songpa District, southern Seoul.
