Kia unveils teaser for New K8 featuring signature Starmap lighting

Kia has unveiled teaser images and a video for ‘The New K8,’ showcasing the new family look with ‘signature Starmap lighting.’ The teasers were released on Monday, highlighting the futuristic silhouette of the updated model, which is the first significant improvement to the K8 in three years. The K8, launched in April 2021, has sold over 130,000 units in the home Korean market by June.

The teaser images partially reveal the new K8, focusing on the lighting applied to the front and rear of the vehicle. The front features Kia’s new family look with the signature Starmap lighting, including daytime running lights (DRL) and a center positioning lamp that runs across the upper part of the bumper, creating a more refined and luxurious appearance.

The teaser video, also released on Kia’s official YouTube channel (KiaTV), artistically captures the new design language of ‘The New K8’ by transforming star shapes in the night sky into vertical headlamps.

Kia plans to release detailed information on the design, specifications, and pricing of ‘The New K8’ in August.
