Despite President Yoon Suk Yeol’s obvious veto of the revision to the Broadcasting Act, the DP repeated the passage in hopes of provoking the people’s disappointment about Yoon’s ceaseless exercise of veto power.
The majority Democratic Party (DP) on Sunday unilaterally passed a controversial revision to the Broadcasting Act to create a media environment friendly to the opposition. Despite President Yoon Suk Yeol’s obvious veto of the revision, the DP repeated the passage to fan public disappointment about Yoon’s ceaseless exercise of veto power. [PARK YONG-SEOK]
