Singer Psy will hold an additional "Summer Swag" concert on Aug. 31 in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, to make up for the July 20 performance that was canceled midway due to a storm.
The makeup concert will take place at the same location as the July 20 concert, the Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon, "to keep the promise to the audience that came to the concert," according to Psy's agency P Nation.
Those who bought tickets for the July 20 concert can attend the August performance without having to buy another ticket at the same seat as their existing tickets. Those who cannot make it to the Aug. 31 event can get their tickets 100 percent refunded through Interpark Ticket.
"We deeply thank everyone who supported our 'Summer Swag 2024' concert in Gwacheon, which had to be stopped due to unforeseen circumstances," P Nation said in a press release.
The July 20 performance stopped an hour into the event due to worsening weather conditions in the region. Strong wind gusts and rain caused some of the lights to break and fall onto the stage. All visitors were evacuated for safety, reports said.
This year's "Summer Swag" began on June 29 in Wonju, Gangwon, followed by Gwangju and Daegu earlier this month. The next performances will be held in Daejeon on Saturday and Sunday, Gangwon's Sokcho on Aug. 3, Busan on Aug. 10 and 11, Incheon on Aug. 17 and 18 and Gyeonggi's Suwon on Aug. 24 and 25.
