The Queens Are Back: 2NE1's Exciting Return and Global Tour

(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) The legendary K-pop group 2NE1, often referred to as "YG's Daughters," is making a comeback with a concert.

On July 22nd, their agency, YG Entertainment, posted a video titled '2025 YG PLAN' on their official blog. In the video, executive producer Yang Hyun-suk announced a collaboration with 2NE1 to celebrate their 15th anniversary.

Previously, YG Entertainment revealed that CL, Sandara Park, Gong Minzy, and Park Bom of 2NE1 had an official meeting with Yang Hyun-suk at the new YG headquarters in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul, marking their first gathering in about eight years.

This new project, driven by Yang Hyun-suk's decision and 2NE1's strong determination, will kick off with a solo concert. 2NE1 plans to hold a concert in Seoul in early October, followed by performances in Osaka and Tokyo, as well as a global tour.

Yang Hyun-suk commented, "This concert will be very special. The generation that grew up with 2NE1 and listened to their music will share their memories. All staff will work hard to create a successful show."

In addition to 2NE1, Yang Hyun-suk hinted at simultaneous activities for many artists in 2025, announcing BLACKPINK's comeback and world tour, and expressing anticipation for TREASURE, BABYMONSTER, and AKMU's activities, as well as WINNER's activities with Song Min-ho and Kang Seung-yoon, who are set to be discharged from the military at the end of December.

Yang Hyun-suk also mentioned the fast-tracked launch of a new rookie group for the first time. "The tentatively named NEXT MONSTER is on standby. Next year, we will definitely introduce the rookie group to fans. We will work hard to create opportunities for many YG artists to connect with their fans."

Meanwhile, 2NE1 debuted in 2009 and released numerous hits like 'Fire,' 'I Don't Care,' 'Try to Follow Me,' 'Can't Nobody,' 'Go Away,' 'Clap Your Hands,' and 'I Am the Best' before ending group activities in November 2016.
