Hana Financial Group met with athletes competing in the 2024 Paris Paralympics and offered donations to the team a month ahead of the event, the firm said Wednesday.
Chairman and CEO Ham Young-joo visited the Korea Paralympic Committee Icheon National Training Center in Icheon, Gyeonggi, on Tuesday to meet the Paralympians.
During the visit, the company presented donations to the Korea Paralympic Committee, with Jung Jin-owan, committee president, and Team Korea athletes in attendance.
“The passion and efforts displayed by Team Korea athletes, as representatives of the country at the Paralympic Games, where only the world’s best compete, are deeply inspiring to all of us,” said Ham.
“Every member of Hana Financial Group will cheer for the Paralympians to perform their best at the Games this year.”
Jung, of the Korea Paralympic Committee, said, “We are grateful for Hana Financial Group’s continued interest and support since the 2018 Winter Olympics held in Pyeongchang,” and added that, “We will do our best to ensure [the group’s] sponsorship will lead to not only boosted morale, but also good performance.
The Paris Paralympic Games will take place from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8.
