Large companies post smallest hiring increase ever recorded in June

A total of 3,115,000 employees were hired at large companies - defined as companies with 300 employees or more - in June of this year, an increase of 4,000 compared to the same month of last year, according to Statistics Korea.

A total of 3,115,000 employees were hired at large companies — defined as companies with 300 employees or more — in June of this year, an increase of 4,000 compared to the same month of last year, according to Statistics Korea. This is the smallest increase posted in the five years and four months since 2019.
