SK telecom applies spam filtering service to PASS app

SK telecom Co. announced on Tuesday that it will launch a spam filtering service within its authentication service app, PASS, to protect customers from the surge of spam messages. The new feature combines the existing T Spam Filtering service with the PASS app.

Users can access the PASS Spam Filtering service by updating the PASS app to its latest version on their smartphones.

The T Spam Filtering app is a free add-on service that allows users to manage spam messages by blocking unwanted incoming and outgoing numbers.

Previously, PASS users had to install a separate app to use the T Spam Filtering service. However, the spam filtering function is now integrated directly into the PASS app, making it more convenient for users.

The new features of the service include a Keyword Recommendation function, which helps block incoming spam by extracting keywords that are likely to be included in spam messages based on reported spam data.

Additionally, an AI Bait Message Detection Notification Service has been added to detect and notify users of bait messages in advance.

SK telecom plans to continue enhancing its smart filtering technology by leveraging AI to provide advanced spam blocking features and phishing and smishing suspicion query functions.
