Romanian ultra-nationalist presidential candidate George Simion opens campaign center in Bucharest

AUR party leader Simion has started applying the 'Simion Plan' for apartments in his newly opened campaign headquarters, part of the 2024 presidential election candidate project, which has 200 points. One of these points is 'putting Romanians in possession of houses' with flats estimated to be worth 35,000 EUR, with zero interest on refinancing. Dozens of sympathizers lined up to sign 'Simion Plan' contracts for new cheap apartments, the documents being signed by the future owners as well as the leader of the AUR party. AUR party won 14,93 percent of votes while the ruling alliance PSD-PNL (Social Democracy Party - National Liberal Party) took 48,55 percent at the last European Parliament elections held in June 2024.
