Idols Back in Action: '2024 ISAC' to Feature New Competitions and Star MCs

(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) The 'Idol Star Athletics Championships' (ISAC) is back after a two-year hiatus, with a confirmed lineup of MCs.

On the 17th, MBC announced the MC lineup for the '2024 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championships' (directed by Chae Hyun-seok, hereafter 'ISAC'), revealing that Jeon Hyun-moo, Lee Chan-won, Kang Daniel, and NMIXX's Haewon have been selected.

The 'ISAC' is a representative holiday entertainment program where top idol stars in Korea challenge various sports events each year, creating numerous headlines and new records. The revival of 'ISAC' comes about two years after the '2022 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championships.'

This year's 'ISAC' will feature five events, including the newly introduced breaking dance, athletics, archery, futsal, and dance sports. The breaking dance event has been newly established, combining the breaking event of the '2024 Paris Olympics' with the street genre of K-pop idols.

MC Jeon Hyun-moo, who has been with 'ISAC' since 2013, will return to show his veteran presence once again.

Lee Chan-won, who previously worked as a commentator with his sub-character 'Castto' during two baseball broadcasts, will join 'ISAC' as a new face and prove his MC capabilities once again.

Kang Daniel, who has also shined as the main MC for programs like 'Street Woman Fighter' and 'Street Man Fighter,' is confirmed to be an MC for 'ISAC.'

Haewon, who showed off her exceptional sense of humor as a 'JYP Public Comedian' and has been active as a 'work idol,' will solidify her position as a 'variety idol' through her role as an 'ISAC' MC.

Additionally, rapper DinDin and STAYC's Sieun will join 'ISAC' as field MCs.

Meanwhile, the recording of the '2024 Chuseok Special ISAC' will take place in August and will be aired during the Chuseok holidays in 2024.
