Netflix original action flick "Mission: Cross," starring Hwang Jung-min and Yum Jung-ah, will be released on Aug. 9, the streaming giant said Wednesday.
“Mission: Cross” tells the story of former agent Park Gang-mu, played by Hwang, who lives a peaceful life as a househusband while hiding his past. His wife Mi-sun, played by Yum, is an ace in a major crime investigation team.
Gang-mu encounters his former colleague, Hee-ju, played by Jeon Hye-jin, who tells him that her husband, Jung-san, played by Kim Ju-hun, went missing. Mi-sun, misunderstanding the meeting between Gang-mu and Hee-ju, follows them and gets involved by mistake.
“Mission: Cross” is directed by Lee Myeong-hun, who directed the film “Super Ttareungi” in 2005.
"The couple’s unexpected, intense collaboration will explode with action fueled by adrenaline and delightful banter," Netflix said in a press release on Wednesday.
Hwang will also star in the upcoming action film “I, The Executioner,” directed by Ryoo Seung-wan, in September.
